Angels have always had their place in magic, but in the past they were not given the same attention as the traditional gods and goddesses of Wicca. Most spells and rituals are directed towards angelic energies.
Wicca is ideal for calling upon angels. They like it when you put effort into preparing a pretty table or placing decorative items on an altar. Crystals, scents, flowers, pictures and, above all, candles are included. Before calling an angel, you should ring a bell to drive away the negative vibrations and you should have your area tidy as the angels like it neat and clean. When calling angels, always speak loudly and in a clear and serious voice.
A simple spell to call an angel goes like this: Spread some white feathers on your altar, next place five purple candles on the table in a circle. Light it and visualize yourself surrounded by violet light. Focus on your problem for at least 5 minutes. Now say the following words:
Angels of love and beauty, today I call you to help me with my burden. Show me the path to the solution through your venerable power and influence.
Now, in your own words or with a poem, describe the help you are asking for. Try not to leave anything out, speak as if it were your best friend. Then end the angel call with:
That's how it should be.
Let the candles burn for an hour before blowing them out. (Please do not leave it unattended!) Within a few days your problem will become smaller and things will change for the better. If you want to be sure, light the candles again the next day and repeat your angel call.
