Quendel ointment according to Hildegard of Bingen

Ingredients:

3 to 4 tablespoons goat fat

3 to 4 teaspoons of thyme powder


large pot

small pot

Ointment jar


Preparation:

Put the goat fat in a small pot and melt it in a hot water bath (fill a large pot with water and place a small one in it). When it is liquid, the thyme powder can be stirred in and poured into ointment jars. You should continue stirring until the fat has solidified again. Don't forget to label it with the date and name.


Application:

Quendel ointment for external rubbing on the skin.


Can help/helps with:

dry eczema, or if the skin itches and cracks.
