Ingredients:
2 kg pumpkin
1/4 liter herbal vinegar
3/4 liter of water
Cinnamon to taste
10 cloves
500 g sugar
3 to 4 packets of vanilla sugar

Preparation:
Peel the pumpkin, hollow it out and cut it into cubes. Put the cubes in a pot and add the sugar over them and let them stand overnight.
Then season with herbal vinegar and vanilla sugar. Add the remaining ingredients, water and cloves and then bring to the boil for 20 minutes. Now pour into jars, close tightly and label with name (pumpkin compote) and date.
