The leaf has numerous hairs that give it a smooth, velvety structure. The gray-green leaves are aromatic and delicious. The plant grows on several thin branches and reaches a length of 25 to 60 cm. The stems are square and purple. In late summer and early fall, the plant produces delicate white or pink flowers on the spikes at the end of the branches.

🛑 Do not use in high doses during pregnancy.

The little brother of Dost/Oregano is used as a spice in all Italian and many domestic recipes. It has a milder taste than thyme, for example, and goes well with roast goose, potato dishes, hearty stews and anywhere you want to make something easy to digest.

Marjoram essential oil has a calming effect on muscles and tension headaches.
