Italian white bread

Italian white bread

500g flour

2 tsp salt

1 cube of yeast or 2 packets of Dr. Oetker yeast

20 ml olive oil

320 ml lukewarm water

Add the flour, salt, yeast, olive oil and lukewarm water to a mixing bowl. Knead well with a mixer and kneading hooks for at least 6 minutes. The 6 minutes are very important so that the dough gets a nice shape and can rise well later.

Take the dough out of the bowl, divide it into 2 halves and shape it on a baking tray (like a baguette).

Let rise in a warm place for 30 to 40 minutes. I usually cover them with a tea towel.

Then bake for about 20 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius and fan oven until golden brown.

There are so many other things you can do with this recipe. You could e.g. B. Add herbs such as chives, basil, parsley, garlic, olives, etc.

Who e.g. B. If you like sesame, sunflower, etc., you can brush it with water and sprinkle sesame, etc. on top before the white bread goes into the oven.

If you have a loaf pan, you can ideally do this in there. It can then be cut later just as easily as a store-bought white bread with the bread machine or with a knife and then topped with jam, sausage, etc. as desired.

I hope you have fun making it and enjoy it. :)
