Ingredients:
1 screw glass
Elecampane root
approx. 70% alcohol
Brown glass bottle
Preparation:
Roughly chop the fresh elecampane root and then fill half of it into the screw-top jar. Pour double-distilled, high-proof alcohol into the screw-top jar. The alcohol must be at least 70% because fresh roots contain a lot of water and the root water dilutes the alcohol. This in turn reduces the shelf life, which should be up to 4 years for a tincture.
Close the jar tightly and leave it in a warm place at room temperature. Shake often and strain through a coffee filter after 3 to 6 weeks. It all depends on how strong you want the tincture to be. The coffee filter retains all residues that do not belong in the brown glass bottle. Don't forget to label, preferably with the plant name and date.
Helps against:
Skin blemishes, eczema, pimples, blackheads
