Herbal oil

The homemade herbal oil is an ideal gift or simply to enjoy for yourself. Goes great with antipasti, for example.

Herbal oil

Ingredients:

3 cloves of garlic

3 sprigs of rosemary

3 sprigs of thyme

1-2 dried chili peppers

1 tsp pink pepper

1 teaspoon dried, chopped basil leaves

500 ml olive oil


Bottle with snap cap 500 ml capacity


Preparation:

Slice the garlic cloves and add them to the bottle along with the remaining dried ingredients. Then add the oil and close the bottle. Leave it in a dark place for at least 14 days before it can be used.

Ingredients:

1 sprig of rosemary

1 sprig of thyme

1 sprig of oregano

100 ml olive oil


Bottle


Preparation:

Place the branches in a bottle and pour the olive oil over them. Then let it stand for at least 2 weeks. The longer it sits, the more intensely the oil takes on the flavor of the herbs.


The oil tastes good as a seasoning and salad oil and for frying meat and potatoes.

If you want to make more oil, for example with 300 ml, you should use 3 sprigs of each herb, etc.


Other flavors would be tarragon with chicken, lemon with fish, dost with game meat and marjoram with sheep.
