Elderberry whiskey

Elderberry whiskey

Ingredients:

1 liter pressed elderberry juice

150 g sugar

3 cloves

1/4 liter whiskey

Pot

Bottle

Preparation:

Add the pressed elderberry juice into a saucepan with the sugar and the cloves and bring to the boil until the sugar has melted. Then remove the pot from the heat and let it cool down. Then add the whiskey and bottle it.

If you want to be on the safe side, buy elderberry juice at the organic store. If you prefer to collect the elderberries yourself, you must first filter the berries through a cloth or coffee filter and only then add them to the pot and boil them with the other ingredients as described above. When the elderberry syrup has cooled, it should be filtered again before adding the whiskey and bottling it.

The longer the elderberry whiskey is stored, the better it tastes.

Attention: Alcohol is not for children, young people, pregnant women and drivers!!!
