Calendula ointment with oil

Calendula ointment with oil

Ingredients:

1/4 kg of lanolin from the pharmacy

1/4 liter marigold oil

2 handfuls of plucked petals

2 teaspoons beeswax

Pot or fireproof container

fine sieve

Ointment jar

Preparation:

First, the lanolin is melted in a pot or fireproof container. Then add the marigold oil and the plucked petals. Now let it simmer on the lowest flame for 1/2 hour and then strain it through a fine sieve.

Heat the beeswax in a pot or fireproof container until it is melted and add it to the reheated lanolin oil mixture. Please make sure that they have approximately the same temperature, otherwise the beeswax in them may harden again too quickly. Pour into ointment jars while stirring constantly and continue stirring until it has cooled down.

If you want it to be particularly rich, you can also add a few drops of a previously prepared tincture or how about a few drops of essential oils...

Use the Calendula ointment regularly.

Application:

For rubbing on the skin.
