Horseradish in vinegar

Ingredients:

Several larger roots

1/4 liter vinegar

1 teaspoon salt

Blender or food processor

screw-top jars

Bowl

Preparation:

Wash and peel the roots and grate them finely in a blender or food processor. Be careful, it's hard on your respiratory tract and your eyes will burn. Then fill the grated horseradish into small screw-top jars, but do not stuff them in.

Now mix 1/4 liter of vinegar and 1 teaspoon of salt in a bowl until the salt has dissolved. Pour the salted vinegar over the radish, making sure everything is covered with vinegar. Then close the jars tightly and wait at least 4 weeks before using.

Horseradish vinegar goes well with bacon, fried meat or fish.
