Barberry jam

Ingredients:

500 g barberry berries

some water

500g brown sugar

Strainer

Screw jars

Preparation:

Put the barberry berries in a pot and add some water. Then bring to the boil until they are soft and then strain through a sieve. We no longer need that in the sieve, the rest is collected in the pot. Now add the brown sugar and let the whole thing simmer again. Then fill into screw-top jars and label with date and name.

Application:

Use the barberry jam either by the teaspoon or as a spread.
