Valerian Wine

Valerian wine

Ingredients:

2 valerian roots (The bottle should be a third full of valerian roots.)

0.7 liters of white wine

Glass

Sieve, filter or linen cloth

Bottle

Preparation:

First clean and chop the valerian roots and then heat them gently in a pot with white wine. It shouldn't boil! Now pour it into a glass and let it sit in one place for 3 weeks. Shake or move occasionally. After this time, the roots are strained through a sieve, filter or linen cloth and the roots are squeezed well. Pour the brew into a bottle and label it.

If you want to make the wine even richer, you can add dried lemon balm, hops or cowslip blossoms or even a lemon peel after the 1 week steeping time. Just as everyone likes it.

Application:

1 small glass
