The food pyramid

The food pyramid briefly explained:

Drinking is very important and is therefore shown at the bottom of the food pyramid and in large size. You should drink 1.5 liters to 3 liters a day. Many people know it: you don't drink enough and you've got problems with your circulation.

Next comes vegetables, fruits and nuts such as apples, bananas, grapes, melon, carrots, peppers, tomatoes and so on. The selection is large and you can easily find them in the supermarket. You should therefore eat vegetables 3 times a day and fruits and nuts 2 times a day.

If we go further up we come to potatoes, grains and/or grain products. There are also many grains to choose from, whether wheat, rye or spelled and as rolls, bread, pretzels everything can be eaten here 4 times a day.

Milk and dairy products, as well as eggs, legumes and meat alternatives, are slightly higher. You should eat milk and milk products three times a day, including quark and yogurt, for example. However, with eggs, legumes and meat alternatives you should eat once a day.

At the very top in the red area are clearly the sweets and extras and the spreadable fats and vegetable oils. Sweets and extras include everything that is sweet, such as cakes, puddings, chocolate, candies and so on. Please do this no more than once a day. In the case of spreadable fats and vegetable oils, however, you could use them twice a day; these include, for example, butter, margarine, olive oil, sunflower oil and so on.

Now comes what should not be forgotten: Moderate physical activity of at least 30 to 60 minutes every day. Whether in the gym, in groups or alone, there is so much on offer around sports, swimming, running, dancing, yoga, meditation, Tai Chi, Qigong and so on. So that our body and mind can relax.
