Ingredients:
1 cup dried sweet clover
1 cup dried rose hips or rose petals
1 cup lungwort flowers or violet flowers
2 stalks of lemongrass
1 split vanilla bean
¾ liter of clear fruit brandy
125 g cane sugar
large screw-top jar
Bowl
fine sieve, linen cloth or filter
Bottle
Preparation:
Fill the sweet clover, rose hips or rose petals, lungwort flowers or violet flowers, lemongrass and vanilla pod into the large screw-top jar. Then put the cane sugar and the clear fruit brandy in a bowl and mix together until the sugar has dissolved. Now pour over the herbs in the screw-top jar and stir the whole thing. Close the screw-top jar tightly and let it steep in a dark place, for example in the refrigerator, for 1 month.
After 4 weeks, it can be strained through a fine sieve, linen cloth or filter and poured into a bottle. The liqueur now has to mature for a few more months. The sweet clover liqueur can then be diluted with mineral water and white wine, or infused with sparkling wine or drunk straight.
