Schueßler salts

Schuessler salts

The Schueßler salts go back to the doctor Wilhelm Heinrich Schüßler (1821-1898), who used mineral salts in homeopathic doses in alternative medical preparations. Based on the assumption that diseases generally arise from disturbances in the mineral balance of the body's cells, one could be cured by homeopathic administration of minerals. These assumptions are also not scientifically proven; the effectiveness of the Schüßler salts beyond the placebo effect has not been proven.

The doctor published the article "An abbreviated therapy based on histology and cellular pathology" in the Allgemeine Homöopathie Zeitung in 1873. The basic principles of his teachings and a form of therapy called “biochemical healing” are presented on just under 16 pages. Instead of the approximately thousand remedies in homeopathy, Schüßler only used twelve salts, where he was of the opinion that these were sufficient for almost all diseases.

Schüßler explained that it is not a homeopathic procedure, but can be traced back to physiological-chemical processes in the human organism.

He claimed that missing minerals can be determined from features on the face in order to make an appropriate dosage of the salts.

At the end of the Second World War, Hans-Heinrich Jörgensen was of the opinion that Schüßler salts could not only be used to compensate for deficiency symptoms, but also in accordance with the homeopathic similarity principle. Since then, we have become indispensable without them and everyone has heard about them, read about them or uses them themselves.

The Schüßler salts should be taken in tablet form, which is then allowed to slowly dissolve in the mouth. The tablets are mainly made from milk sugar (lactose), but they are also available in the form of alcoholic drops, or lactose-free globules (balls made from cane sugar), but also vegan.

The 12 functional means

  1. Calcium fluoratum D12 (calcium fluoride) - connective tissue, joints and skin

  2. Calcium phosphoricum D6 (calcium phosphate) - bones and teeth

  3. Ferum phosphoricum D12 (iron phosphate) - the immune system

  4. Kalium chloratum D6 (potassium chloride) - the mucous membranes

  5. Kalium phosphoricum D6 (potassium phosphate) - psyche and nerves

  6. Kalium sulfuricum D6 (potassium sulfate) - detoxification

  7. Magnesium phosphoricum D6 (magnesium hydrogen phosphate) - nerves and muscles

  8. Natrium chloratum D6 (sodium chloride - table salt) - the fluid balance

  9. Natrium phosphoricum D6 (sodium sulfate) - metabolism

  10. Natrium sulfuricum D6 (sodium sulfate) - the excretion

  11. Silicea D12 (silicic acid) - skin, hair and connective tissue

  12. (Calcium sulfuricum D6 (calcium sulfate)) - the joints

These are the 12 original Schüßler salts which he reduced to 11 in 1895. He wrote: "Since the sulfuric acid of lime does not enter into the constant composition of the organism, it must disappear from the biochemical scene. Instead of him comes Natrum phosphoricum or Silicea into consideration."

The 15 “supplements”

13. Potassium arsenicosum D6 (potassium arsenite) - skin

14. Kalium bromatum D6 (potassium bromide) - nerves

15. Potassium iodatum D6 (potassium iodide) - heart, brain, thyroid and inflammation

16. Lithium chloratum D6 (lithium chloride) - the joints

17. Manganum sulfuricum D6 (manganese sulfate) - nerves, bones, joints, metabolism

18. Calcium sulfuratum D6 (calcium sulfide) - poisoning and energy

19. Cuprum arsenicosum D6 (copper arsenite) - muscles and blood

20. Potassium aluminum sulfuricum D6 (alum) - wounds, stomach and intestines

21. Zincum chloratum D6 (zinc chloride) - immune system, nerves and wound healing

22. Calcium carbonicum D6 (calcium carbonate) - bones, teeth and skin

23. Natrum bicarbonicum D6 (sodium bicarbonate) - joints, metabolism and stomach

24. Arsenum jodatum D6 (arsenic triiodide) - thyroid, skin and throat

25. Aurum Chloratum Natronatum D6 (Gold/Sodium Chloride) - The Gold Salt

26. Selenium D6 (selenium) - cell protection and performance improvement

27. Kalium bichromicum D12 (potassium dichromate) - The salt for overweight and high cholesterol levels

There seem to be several supplements, but they are not named Schüßler salts.

What do the D6/D12 etc. mean: These are the potentiations, i.e. the gradual dilution of the drugs. This happens in special trituration mills in which the minerals are finely and intensively ground. This means that the grain size of the material is less than 100 µm. Then we continue with the exponentiation steps, e.g. B. 1 part mineral salt and 9 parts lactose = D1. The potentization then takes place with 1 part of the trituration and 9 parts of lactose; this is continued until the potency level D3, D6 or D12 is reached.

In summary, mineral salts are components of our body cells. If the mineral balance is out of balance, according to Dr. Schüßler on disorders of cell function. This is exactly where his treatment method comes in. The mineral salts are prepared in such a way that the body's cells can easily digest them. In this way, the chemical processes in the cells can be normalized and the organism's self-healing is stimulated.

The Schüßler salts have been produced successfully and of high quality by the DHU (German Homeopathy Union) since 1946. No other company has as much experience with Schüßler salts. So much just mentioned in passing.

I hope I was able to give you a little insight into the Schüßler salts. Maybe this is exactly what you are looking for.
