The rum pot makes about 2 liters in total.
Ingredients:
500 g pineapple (1/2 fruit)
400g kiwis
850g mangoes
1 untreated orange
250g sugar
1/8 liter of water
Juice 1 lemon
0.7 liters of white rum
Pot
toothpick
Punch bowl
Preparation:
Peel the pineapple with a sharp knife, cut into slices and remove the hard core from the middle of the pineapple slices. Cut the pulp into bite-sized slices. Peel the kiwis thinly, then cut them into slices and quarter them. Peel the mangoes, remove the flesh from the core and cut into cubes. Rinse the orange with hot water, pierce it all over with a toothpick, cut it into slices and then quarter it.
Now put the sugar in a pot and boil in a good 1/8 liter of water until it has dissolved. Place the chopped fruit in a suitable punch bowl and mix with the lemon juice and sugar water. Pour the rum over the fruit and stir everything well. It is important that the fruits are well covered with liquid.
Leave in the fridge for about 3 weeks. The rum pot with exotic fruits will then last about 4 weeks if stored in a cool place.
