Ribwort plantain oil

Ingredients:

fresh ribwort plantain leaves or broad plantain

cold pressed sunflower oil or linseed oil


Glass with lid

fine sieve

Bottle


Preparation:

Cut the fresh plantain leaves into small pieces and fill them 2/3 full into a glass. Then pour the cold-pressed sunflower oil or linseed oil over it and leave it closed in the sun for 3 weeks.


After 21 days, the plantain can be strained through a fine sieve, squeezing out the leaves well. Then pour it into a bottle and label it with your name and date.


Application:

The ribwort plantain oil for external use, as a rub on the skin in the chest and back area. Ideal for children.

Ingredients:

100 g fresh ribwort plantain leaves

1/2 liter of water

3 sprigs of thyme

1/2 kg honey


Weighing knife

Pot

fine sieve or filter

Glasses


Preparation:

Wash the ribwort plantain and chop it with a chopping knife. Then put it in a pot and pour 1/2 liter of boiling water over it. Add 3 more sprigs of thyme and let stand for 1 hour.


After the hour, the whole thing can be strained through a fine sieve or filter. Then boil the liquid with 500 g of honey and pour into glasses. Don’t forget to label it with your name and date.
