Pear honey according to Hildegard of Bingen

Ingredients:

5 large pears

1 liter of water

20 g honey

28 g fennel root powder

26 g galangal powder

24 g licorice powder

22 g stonecrop powder

Preparation:

The pears are washed, quartered and cored. They are then boiled with the peel in a liter of water until soft and then pureed with a blender or hand blender. Now heat the honey in a water bath (fill a slightly larger pot with water and place a smaller pot in it) in the smaller pot and stir in the fennel root powder, galangal powder, licorice powder and stonecrop powder (all from the pharmacy). Then fold in the hot pear puree. When everything is well mixed, the pear honey can be poured into jars and sealed tightly.


Application:

The pear honey according to Hildegard von Bingen is taken 3 times a day. 1 teaspoon in the morning on an empty stomach, 2 tablespoons after lunch and 3 tablespoons before bed.
