White mustard is an annual herb that grows between 30 and 60 cm tall. The flower has a yellow corolla about more than 1/2 inch in diameter and four petals that are 1/4 to 1/2 inch long. It contains four spread sepals and six petals, 4 long and 2 short. The alternate leaves are stalked and have coarsely hairy pinnations. The stems are branched and also hairy. Each leaf is irregularly pinnate and has an irregular sawtooth edge. The terminal leaflets are large and clearly lobed. The white mustard fruit contains many small, round, light yellow seeds.

The grains serve as protection against evil spirits and bring good luck.

🛑 Mustard can cause burns to the skin if left on for too long. Under no circumstances should children under 6 years of age undergo a brachial therapy.

In our kitchen, mustard is used in salad dressing, in soups, with meat and sausages.

Mustard powder is a natural deodorant for the hands.
