The milkweed plant comes from North America and is more commonly found as a garden plant.

Heart-active glycosides, essential oil, resin


Other:

A tea application is not usual with the plant, an alcoholic extract is made.


The fruits of the milkweed plant are quite large and have the shape of many small birds, which is why the plant was also called the parrot flower.
