Melissa liqueur

Ingredients:

150 g lemon balm leaves

1/2 liter of grain schnapps, fruit schnapps etc.

3/4 kg sugar

1/2 liter of water

Jar with lid

Linen cloth or filter

Preparation:

Place the lemon balm leaves in a glass and pour the alcohol over them. Then close the jar and put it in a dark place for 2 weeks.


After the 14 days of steeping, the sugar and water are placed in a pot and boiled to a syrup. Then let it cool and pour it into the lemon balm alcohol. The two liquids are mixed well and can then be strained through a linen cloth or filter and poured into bottles. Don’t forget to label it with your name and date.


After a few weeks of storage, the Melissa liqueur can be used. It tastes very good and smells of lemon balm.


Attention: Alcohol is not for children, young people, pregnant women and drivers!!!
