Man litter (Eryngium campestre)

To find:

In dry, unused fields, on the edge of fields in protected, warm locations.


Ingredients:

Saponins, essential oils, phytosterols, flavonoids, salts


Other:

☕ Tea: Add 1 teaspoon of root to 1/4 liter of water, heat to boiling point, let steep briefly and strain. Drink three cups a day between meals.


There are numerous spines and thorns on the leaves, flowers and fruits of the man litter. It has a large cylindrical root. The Alpenmann litter (Eryngium alpinum) is used as well as the Feldmann litter (Eryngium campestre).
