(For 4 people) as a side dish
Ingredients:
1 onion
some butter
1 small bunch of lovage
2 cups rice
4 cups of water
high pan, wok or pot
Preparation:
Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes. Wash the bunch of lovage and cut it into small pieces. Fry the onion cubes in a little butter in a high pan, wok or pot so that they are not translucent. Then add the chopped lovage leaves, stir and sweat.
Now add the rice, stir briefly and immediately pour in the water. Now bring to the boil and then let it simmer over a low heat for about 20 minutes, depending on the type of rice.
The lovage rice goes well with fried chicken or fried chicken*.
*Baked chicken is chicken breaded in egg and breadcrumbs and then fried/baked in the pan like schnitzel.
