Ingredients:
4 large lemongrass stalks
1 liter of natural apple juice
125g sugar
Pot
fine sieve
bottles
Preparation:
Cut the lemongrass stalks lengthways and put them in a pot with the apple juice and heat. Then add the sugar and stir until the sugar has dissolved. The sugar-juice mixture should cook gently for about 10 minutes until the lemongrass releases its flavors.
After time, the mixture can be strained through a fine sieve and poured into bottles. Don’t forget to label it with your name and date. The syrup lasts a few weeks.
Application:
Pour some lemongrass syrup into a glass and top up with mineral water. Cut a slice of lemon and hang it on the edge of the glass. Don't forget to add ice cubes and serve with a stick of lemongrass.
