Flaxseed brittle

Ingredients:

50 g sunflower seeds

50 g sesame seeds

50 g pumpkin seeds

50 g linseed

300 g isomalt*

Baking paper


Preparation:

Roast the sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds and linseeds in a coated pan without adding fat until golden brown. Then put it in a bowl.


Melt the isomalt in the empty pan. As soon as the mixture becomes tender brown, remove the pan from the heat and stir in the grains and seeds. Place the mixture on a baking tray with baking paper and let it cool.


Then break the solidified mass like brittle.


Application:

The Flaxseed brittle is a treat for in between meals or an addition to muesli.



*Isomalt is a mixture of two sugar alcohols that is used as a sugar substitute. (Wikipedia) - You can buy it online.
