Figwort (Scrophularia nodosa)


Effect:

worm driving, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, laxative, cardiac effect


Areas of application:

Skin diseases, lymph node diseases; Problems with the neck glands or throat ulcers, chronic colds, swollen tonsils, eczema around the nose, mouth and ears, scabs on the scalp, goiter, mild heart disease, stimulates metabolism and water excretion, water retention in the body, herpes, skin lichen, ulcers, eczema, Rashes, neurodermatitis, psoriasis (psoriasis)

the herb in spring,

the root tuber in autumn,

Seeds after ripening


Collection time:

Spring and autumn


To find:

Near stream banks and in damp bushes and ditches.


Ingredients:

Saponins, glycosides, alkaloids, flavonoids, iridoids, harpagoid


Other:

☕ 1 teaspoon of the dried root is poured with 1 cup of lukewarm water and left to stand overnight. You can possibly mix with pansy herb. A tea treatment should last 4 weeks.


Figwort worn as an amulet is a good remedy against evil spells.


As a rule, only the dried root is used for tea; the herb can also be used for external applications.
