☕ Tea: Put 1 to 2 crushed roots in a pot of cold water and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer gently for 10 to 15 minutes. Drink 3 times a day.


False unicorn grows low to the ground with stems 30 to 90 cm long. The stems are smooth and angular and the alternate leaves grow in a whorl at the base of the plant. The whorl consists of six leaves, each 8 to 15 cm long. The flowers are greenish-white, purple or lavender, grow in a dense cluster and appear from May to June. The flowers are either male or female, with one sex per plant. The flower stalk of the female plant reaches a height of approx. 120 cm. Fine, wiry, pale roots grow from a tuberous rhizome.


🛑 Only a recommended dose should be used (1 cup of tea, three times a day, 2-4 ml of tincture three times a day), overdose may cause vomiting and nausea. Please do not take during pregnancy. False unicorn is a heart toxin in high doses.


False unicorn is used as an ornamental and medicinal plant. In the medical and pharmaceutical literature it is often called Helonias.
