Ingredients:
1/2 liter elderberry juice, freshly squeezed from ripe fruits
1 clove
1/2 cinnamon stick
some ground ginger
1/4 liter of spirits
1/4 kg sugar

Linen cloth
Bottle with snap cap or cork
Preparation:
Put the elderberry juice, the clove, the cinnamon stick and some ground ginger in a pot and bring to the boil slowly for 15 minutes. Then add the spirit of wine and bring to the boil again. Now take the pot off the heat and add the sugar and stir well. Let the whole thing cool down and after a few hours it can be strained through a linen towel.
Now the whole thing again without the fruit etc. Bring to the boil and pour into bottles.
Before the elderberry liqueur can be drunk, it should be stored in a cool, dark place for a few months.
Attention: Alcohol is not for children, young people, pregnant women and drivers!!!

Pulp of a vanilla stick or 1 packet of vanilla sugar
1/2 liter of approx. 40% rum

Preparation:
Bring the elderberry juice, sugar and the scraped pulp of a vanilla stick or a packet of vanilla sugar to the boil in a pot. Remove the pot from the heat and pour in the rum. Then bottle it and store it in a cool, dark place for a few months before enjoying it.
