Common polypody syrup

common polypody syrup

Ingredients:

2 cups plucked dandelion petals

5 g common polypody root powder

3/4 liter of water

700 g sugar

1 lemon including juice and peel

Pot

Coffee filter

Bottles

Preparation:

In a pot, mix the dandelion petals and angelsweet root powder well. Then pour the water over it and heat it to the boil, then let it boil for a few minutes.

Now pour through a coffee filter and squeeze out a little. If there is some root powder in the dandelion water, drain it again and make sure that the root powder is separated.

Now add 700 g of sugar and the juice and zest of a lemon to the clear liquid. Simmer on a low heat until a honey-like mass remains.

Pour into bottles and label with date and name.

Application:

Either use the common polypody syrup diluted as a juice or as a spread.
