Chicory wine


Waiting wine

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons chicory root

1 handful of blue chicory flowers

1 handful of hyssop

1 handful of lemon balm

1 vanilla stick

3 tablespoons brown sugar

Organic red wine


large glass

fine sieve or filter


Preparation:

Cut the chicory root, hyssop and lemon balm into small pieces and place in a large glass. Add the chicory flowers, 1 whole halved vanilla stick and the brown sugar and then pour over enough red wine to cover all parts of the plant. Close the container and leave to infuse in a warm place for 2 to 3 weeks. Shake again and again.

After 14 to 21 days, the brew can be strained through a fine sieve, squeezing out all the plant parts well and then poured into bottles. Don't forget to label with the date and name.


Application:

The Chicory wine to be taken internally, drink a small liqueur glass full every day.
