The Bush vetch root can be smoked to pay tribute to the good spirits and is also used as a sacrificial material. The dried flowers can also be smoked to draw in healing energies.


The fence vetch also likes to climb up fences and pergolas.


In the kitchen, the leaves and shoots of the Bush vetch can be eaten cooked and raw during the growing season. The seeds can be used like (small) beans, you can cook them for special salads or put them cooked in vinegar.
