Berry schnapps

Berry brandy


1/2 kg berries (elderberries, raspberries, currants, etc.)

4 tablespoons sugar

1/2 liter fruit schnapps

Pot or jar with screw cap

Sieve, linen cloth or filter

Bottle with snap cap or cork


The berries are placed in a large glass and pressed with a fork so that they release their juice. Then the sugar is added on top and the fruit schnapps. Stir everything well and leave to stand at room temperature for 4 weeks. Stir or shake the glass every now and then.

When the time is up, the Berry schnapps can be strained through a sieve, linen cloth or filter and bottled. Close tightly and leave to stand again for 4 weeks.
