Leaves, flower buds and stems


Collection time:

June to September, leaves just before flowering in June

The balsam bush can be found on the Canary Islands, Madeira and the Azores.


Ingredients:

Essential oil with over 200 components, phenylpropane, menthyl chavicol (ssp. anisata), monoterpene pinocarvone (ssp. canariensis)


Other:

The leaves of the balsam bush can be used for smoking and in fragrance mixtures.


A tincture made from balsam bush, echinacea and aloe vera juice helps with flu, inflammation of the respiratory tract, cold symptoms and to stabilize the immune system.
