Waffles

So, do you want waffles? I have a few very delicious waffle recipes for you that can be thrown together in no time.

1. Basic dough

for approx. 20 pieces

250 g Margarine or Butter (soft)

200 g Sugar

2 Packets of Vanilla Sugar

5 Eggs

500 g Flour

5 g Baking powder

400 ml Milk

You will need a bowl, a whisk or a hand mixer with a whisk/beater, a waffle iron or 1 small pan.

Whisk the eggs and mix with the sugar, margarine/butter, vanilla sugar, flour and baking powder to form a smooth dough.

Finally, gradually stir in the milk until the dough has a smooth and soft consistency.

Place about half a ladleful at a time in the middle of the baking surface of the waffle iron or in a small pan. Cook each waffle until golden brown, about 3 minutes.

Finally, add some powdered sugar, chocolate, applesauce, cinnamon, jam, etc. on top and enjoy.

Enjoy it.

2. Sour Cream Waffles

for approx. 8 pieces

200 g soft Butter

150 g Sugar

4 Eggs

250 g Sour Cream

300 g Flour

100 g Cornstarch

Beat the softened butter with the sugar and eggs until fluffy. Then mix in the sour cream and then stir in the flour and cornstarch.

Place about half a ladleful at a time in the middle of the baking surface of the waffle iron or in a small pan. Cook each waffle until golden brown, about 3 minutes.

Finally, add some powdered sugar, chocolate, applesauce, cinnamon, jam, etc. on top and enjoy.

Enjoy it.

3. Chocolate Wafers

for approx. 8 pieces

200 g soft Butter

200 g Sugar

4 Eggs

150 g crème fraîche

80 g Chocolate chips

200g Flour

Beat the Butter with the Sugar, Eggs and crème fraiche until fluffy. Stir in the chocolate chips and Flour and mix into a smooth dough.

Place about half a ladleful at a time in the middle of the baking surface of the waffle iron or in a small pan. Cook each waffle until golden brown, about 3 minutes.

Finally, add some powdered sugar, chocolate, applesauce, cinnamon, jam, etc. on top and enjoy.

Enjoy it.

Tip: Add cocoa powder to the base dough until the dough is full of chocolate and mix into a smooth dough. If necessary, add a little more milk.

4. Poppy seed Waffles

for approx. 8 pieces

160 g soft Butter

130 g Sugar

3 Eggs

100 g poppy seed baking (finished product)

200 g Flour

5 g Baking powder

Beat the butter with the sugar, eggs and poppy seed baking until fluffy, then stir in the flour and baking powder.

Place about half a ladleful at a time in the middle of the baking surface of the waffle iron or in a small pan. Cook each waffle until golden brown, about 3 minutes.

Finally, add some powdered sugar, chocolate, applesauce, cinnamon, jam, etc. on top and enjoy.

Enjoy it.

5. Tomato waffles

for approx. 8 pieces - hearty

5 Eggs

100 g soft Butter

1 tsp Salt

8 tbsp Buttermilk

150 g Flour

100 g dried Tomatoes preserved in oil

3 Stalks of Basil

First separate the eggs, then beat the whites until stiff. Mix the egg yolks with the butter and salt until foamy. Then stir in the buttermilk and flour.

Drain the tomatoes and cut them into small pieces. Wash the basil and shake dry. Pick off the leaves and cut them into small pieces. Stir the tomatoes and basil into the dough, then fold in the egg whites. Stir the dough occasionally so that the tomato pieces are evenly distributed.

Place about half a ladleful at a time in the middle of the baking surface of the waffle iron or in a small pan. Cook each waffle until golden brown, about 3 minutes.

As you can see, you can prepare really tasty waffles with little effort, whether sweet or savory, and each recipe can be individually changed with other ingredients. I'll leave it up to your creativity to decide what they might be. Enjoy it and have fun trying it out and imitating it. :)
